The Low Down on the House

I opened the House of Tone in 1995 in the scenic New England town of Dover, New Hampshire after many years working for one of the other music chains in the area. I wanted a music store that was fun and always friendly. A place where you could go and be comfortable whether you were a seasoned pro, an amateur, or a parent looking for your child's first instrument. A store that offered great products at fair prices and the best in services. After more than a decade in business and lots of feedback from regular and repeat customers, I think we've been able to accomplish that!

We carry a full range of products including acoustic and electric guitars and basses, amps, drums, brass & woodwind, percussion, harmonicas, we've even had a didgeridoo from time-to-time! And of course, we also carry all the accessories you might need!
